Add GA4 traffic context to search visibility changes.
GA4 overlays add traffic context to visibility changes. ConsoleViewer keeps the chart restrained: one sessions line, with richer tooltip context.
Connect GA4
- Open Settings (
/settings). - Under Data sources, connect Google Analytics 4.
- Complete Google OAuth if prompted.
Link a GA4 property to a project
GA4 is mapped per project so multiple sites can use different GA4 properties.
- Open a project (
/sites/<propertyId>). - In the GA4 panel, select a GA4 property and save the mapping.
Enable overlays
When enabled for a project, GA4 can provide:
- Sessions overlay line (chart)
- Tooltip context (engaged sessions, engagement rate, conversions)
- Compact cards (sessions / engaged sessions / conversions)
Notes
- GA4 is daily-aggregated for the selected date range.
- If GA4 is connected but nothing shows, confirm the property mapping is set for that project.
